The 21 Day Beachbody Ultimate Reset started on February 1st and we’re now into the second week. How are you all feeling?! If you’re following me on Facebook, then you know I had some moments where I was seriously craving my daughter’s vegan muffin, LOL. But it does get easier as you go on!
After week one of the 21 Day Beachbody Ultimate Reset, this is how I was feeling:
I wasn’t that hungry, actually even though the meals have been great! Speaking of meals, one of the challenges of this refresh has definitely been the meal prep. One of the meals I ate this week took 45 minutes to cook! (Check out this post for tips on meal prep.)
For the first few days, I was moody and tired, and didn’t like myself very much. I don’t even know why because I wasn’t detoxing from a lot of sugar or coffee. I feel like my diet is pretty decent! But by day 5, I was popping out of bed.
I’m going to be real with you. I did have one day when I spent a bit longer in the bathroom. It’s awkward to say it but I don’t want to pretend it doesn’t happen because it will and it does! It’s all good though. 🙂
We’re into the second week, and I’ll be introducing the detox supplement, which scrubs the crud out of your body. I noticed that happening even on Day 1 of the second week!
When you think about all the stuff coming out during the Refresh, it reminds us that we really need to not put garbage in our bodies, because this is the only body we’ve got!!
The meals are going to change throughout the week, and I weaned off animal proteins in the first week, so I’m looking forward to some yummy vegetarian meals. My fave is the roasted red pepper bisque. This Sweet Potato & Roasted Red Pepper Bisque is TO DIE FOR. Ginger, miso & Braggs Aminos make this soup a mouth-watering treat. And here’s a detox tip: ginger is an anti-inflammatory & great for digestion and miso is an excellent probiotic food.
I definitely miss working out but there are no workouts during the Ultimate Reset because your body is doing so much and putting so much energy into healing. Light yoga or brisk walks are okay, but don’t do anything that requires you to exert a lot of energy, otherwise you’ll compromise the healing process!
